The Situation
Jack at ShotByLeyda had been building his photography business without a website, relying on word of mouth and social media to get his work in front of people. He had a genuinely diverse range of services, from sports and cars to weddings and portraits, and needed a site that could represent all of them without leaning too far in any one direction. Looking professional and creative was important to him, and he wanted it to be easy for someone to land on the site and immediately know how to reach out and book a shoot.
What We Built
The first thing we worked through together was the style direction: colors, fonts, and the overall tone. Jack's portfolio covers a pretty wide range, and one of the real challenges was finding a visual approach that felt right for a sports action shot and a wedding portrait at the same time. We also worked through how to present his services so they were easy to understand at a glance, landing on three clear categories that made the decision simple for potential clients. His photos do a lot of the selling on their own, so the site was built to get out of their way and let them shine. Since launch Jack has had a clean, professional home for his work that makes it easy for people to find him, understand what he does, and get in touch.
